And this is the last character of Mojo’s little team: Trez, the bad luck kitty!
So. Why Trez? Cause it sound like Treize, the number 13 in french and I was felling smart about that one.

And this is the Pit, the Witcher’s village, built around the ancient gold mine he use as a headquarter.
Here, both living and dead are his slaves and you better obey or you will end as the dead…

Oh right! Here come the werewolves, the Witcher’s muscles. Be careful: they are naked, turn furry in a blink of an eye and their pack leader is an asshole.

Case in point, here is Ulf, the werewolves’ leader.

He is a mercenary hired by the Witcher to keep guard and hunt fugitives and he decided to stay in the Bayou and turn an handful of people into werewolves.

Next to him is Whisper, who like Sad, can’t talk out-loud, mainly because Ulf, the sadist he is, bite him across his throat, crushing his larynx and vocal chord.

And this is Puppy, or Pup, a young woman who became insane after Ulf’s bite and now act as a wolf, even in her human form.

Whis is the one taking care of her, especially giving her baths and medicines.

There is also three others wolves, Swallow, Bear and Cloud, but they won’t appear in this chapter.

Guilemma is the only one in the Bayou able to keep Ulf in check. Most of the time anyway. And sometimes with a rolled up newspaper.

He may have a thing for redhead with a temper.

Ulf absolutely don’t trust magic. Especially the Bayou’s magic, with the animated dog toys, the dead rising out of their grave and all the loa thing.

Years ago, while I was doing the first chapter during the Nanomango challenge, readers were often telling me Sunday was a poor innocent little girl.
Then they got to the last panel of this chapter and… yeah…
Poor innocent little girl, my left cheek. Remember, she raid her own parent’s grave, made a voodoo doll out of their shrouds and hairs and know perfectly what it do to use your own blood on an unresting.
The Witcher is very right about them being surprised.

Look, Trez is a scaredy-cat and just went up a predator five time his size. He is allowed to have a crisis.
He is lucky Pup is just a curious, playful girl and not as high-strung as Ulf.

I admit, Mama Brigit is one of my favorite and I wanted her to appear in her full glory at least once in the comics.
She is a ferocious mama bear who hate knowing kids are in danger and, as usual with the women in this comics, Eshu can’t say no to her.

Here comes a new character !
Jacquemart is directly inspired by the automaton ringing bell in some French churches, the Jacquemart.
There will be a one-shot comics about Jacquemart origins. I just need to decide when to put it in.

Oh, yeah, Ulf can barely read, and only because Guilemma taught him the basis. He really don’t care about books and knowledge.

Do Ulf and Pif know each others names? No.
Does that stop them to try killing each others regularly? Of course no.
That’s why Ulf broke Pif’s shovel by the way, he is tired of getting hit in the face with it.

Every one, meet (again) Nancy, head of the family of healers of the Pit, mother of Athanase, and another also, person Ulf like to tick off on a regular basis.
Yeah, she is a polydactyles too, she transmit this to all her children and grand-children.

The Pit’s parents, thought, are terrorized with her accidentally biting one of their kids.
Ulf know and use this for his benefits.

Years later, I kinda regret a bit my design choice for Jack. Not because of the feminine body, but more about the automaton design.
(yes, he is a he, mainly because he decided he was.)

Jack’s voice is broken because his jaw got damaged during a fight. He now has no control of the volume and his enunciation.
